Carla's take on a Taipei night-market favourite. Scallops are seared hard in a smoking-hot pan, then glazed with a sauce built on sha-cha — Taiwan's pantry-staple paste of fried shallots, garlic, and dried fish that gives so much of the island's cooking its smoky backbone. A lighter teriyaki rounds the edges, and the charred brassicas stand up to the richness without crowding it out. High protein, gluten-free, and naturally low in carbs by design, not by subtraction.

What's in it

Scallops, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, satay-teriyaki sauce. Vegetables are roasted; scallops are seared to order. Sauce is served on the side on request.
